HVAC Contest Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE CHANCE OF WINNING. Contest ends 03/31/2024.

ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is only open to instructors or trainers in the plumbing or heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industries who are legal U.S. residents and 18 years of age or older (or 19 years of age or older for residents of AL and NE) as of January 1, 2024. All entrants must be willing to implement one of the following Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) courses into their classroom: HVAC and Plumber Technical Training or the Overview of Propane Distribution Systems. Employees of the Sponsor, the Sponsor Affiliates or any of the members of their immediate family (defined as spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children, and grandchildren) or same household of each are not eligible to participate. This Contest is void in Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, U.S. Territories and Possessions, and where prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

HOW TO ENTER: Enter the Contest beginning at 12:00:01 AM ET 01/2/2024 and ending 11:59:59 PM ET 03/31/2024. Entrants must visit the website at www.propane.com and complete the online registration form including the reason why they want to attend the in-person training about the course. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET 03/31/2024 and must be complete to be eligible. Online entries generated by script, macro or other automated means are void. Normal internet access and usage charges imposed by entrant’s online service will apply. Neither the Sponsor nor the Sponsor Affiliates assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, including, but not limited to, technical malfunctions, human or technical errors, printing errors, lost/delayed/garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software, or any combination thereof.

PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE VALUE: seventy (70) Grand Prizes: up to $300 reimbursement for airfare (if applicable) to the training location of choice (Middletown, PA or El Reno, OK) and a two-night hotel stay for one individual near the training locations for the HVAC Train the Trainer session. The training session is a two-day event conducted by the Propane Education & Research Council’s propane experts. Prize value depends on airfare rates from the winner’s city at the time of the event. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with another prize of equal or greater value. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.

PRIZE WINNER SELECTION/NOTIFICATION: The winners will be selected based on a vote of the contest judges. Judging will be based on the entrants’ statements regarding why they wish to attend the in-person training for the course and other application questions. Additional communications between judges and entrants may take place during the judging period via phone or email. The contest judges will be executives from PERC. Contest judging will be held and winners will be notified via email the first week of April. Decisions of the judges are final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. If any notifications are not responded to within one week, Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the prize and award to an alternate winner. Limit one prize per person/family/household. Taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. Winner may be required to complete IRS Form W-9, an affidavit of eligibility and a publicity release form prior to receiving his or her prize.

GENERAL RULES: Online entries will be declared to be made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. Authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access provider, Online Service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website; violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. In the event this sweepstakes is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the online portion of the Contest and, in such event, to select winners by other means from among all eligible online entries received, up to such time of cancellation, termination or suspension. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. All aspects of the prizes are nontransferable, and no substitutions or cash equivalents are allowed except at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value of an advertised prize if unavailable for any reason. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Prize winners agree to indemnify and hold harmless and waive all claims of liability of any kind whatsoever against the Sponsor and/or the Sponsor Affiliates, including any accident, loss, injury or death occurring or in any way related to the prizes or use/misuse thereof or while traveling to and/or from a location to obtain or use the prize. Neither the Sponsor nor the Sponsor Affiliates make any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of the prizes including, without limitation, quality, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Winners, in accepting prizes, consent to the use of their names, addresses (city, state), photographs and likeness for purposes of advertising, trade and promoting in any and all media on behalf of the Sponsor, without further compensation, except where prohibited by law. Winners are responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes.
